| This course is a joint development between DCA and Barony College. Barony College has an excellent reputation for delivering animal care training and education. All students who complete the DCA/Barony course will have covered the theoretical requirements for a level 2 SVQ in animal care. |
| Pet Grooming |
| Pet grooming training courses are on the increase. The DCA home study Pet Grooming course gives you the knowledge and skills you need for careers in dog and cat grooming. The course covers cat and dog physiology, breed recognition, coat types, care of equipment and clipping techniques. |
| Veterinary Assistant |
| The DCA Home Learning Veterinary Assistant course provides you with an introduction to the work that is involved in becoming an veterinary assistant. Areas covered by the course include such thing as pharmacology, treatment techniques, animal behaviour, medical procedures, wound management and clinical nutrition. |
