Counselling may seem a simple activity – the role of an interested and concerned listener. However, it can be complex – because any topic may arise, placing demands on the counsellor to be objective and professional.
A finely balanced relationship between the counsellor and the person being counselled must be established, nurtured and then when the time is right, ended. There is always something new to learn from others when you are involved in counselling – and the DCA Counselling course could be the first part of your learning experience.
There are lots of career paths in counselling from working with GPs practices, working with voluntary organisations and also in private practice. However, for you to become a qualified counsellor, you will need to carry on with your studies beyond this counselling skills course.
If this course interests you, then don’t delay enrol NOW on the Diploma in Counselling Skills.
